Reader poll

Which girls basketball team will have the best record in the Suburban Council?

  • Bethlehem 52%
  • Colonie 24%
  • Shaker 24%
  • Shenendehowa 0%

21 total votes.

Since we tackled the Suburban Council boys basketball world in last week's poll, it's only fair that we now do the same with the Suburban Council girls basketball world. Which of these four teams will be the best in the league?

Bethlehem -- The Lady Eagles have looked impressive in beating Averill Park and Guilderland, but they have a big test coming Friday when they travel to Colonie.

Colonie -- The Lady Raiders suffered a three-point loss to Averill Park in Tuesday's showdown between the defending Section II champs in Class AA and Class A, but before anyone panics remember that Colonie still has two great guards in Sydnie Rosales and Jaclyn Welch.

Shaker -- The Blue Bison have blown out Ballston Spa and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, but we'll see what happens when they start facing the league's elite teams.

Shenendehowa -- Long-time head coach Ken Strube retired and super guard Emily Weber graduated, but the Plainsmen always have talent on hand to maintain their winning ways.

The poll remains open until midnight Monday, so cast your votes.
