National Grid brought in a helicopter to assist in needed repairs to an electricity line next to Lock 10 in Cranesville. Flooding had washed away power lines and sent it into the Mohawk River. The helicopter carried a “rope” to be strung from one tower to another. Later the rope would be used to install the electric line. Besides crossing over the Mohawk River, the lines are above railroad tracks and Route 5.
